Jordan Fox is a founding partner of Belluck & Fox. Jordan has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2007, and as among New York’s Best Lawyers since 2006. His verdicts have been recognized by the New York Law Journal, including its Largest Verdicts of the Year, and Verdicts of the Year.
Jordan has represented victims of asbestos disease for 34 years, trying well over 100 cases (many of which settled before verdict) throughout New York State, as well as in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Texas and Massachusetts. His verdicts include awards for:

The $52 million verdict was affirmed by the New York Court of Appeals in a landmark ruling.
Over the years, as a result of these trials, and settlements, Jordan has helped Belluck & Fox, LLP resolve over $1 billion in claims for its victims.
Jordan has been selected to speak at various conferences throughout the United States on issues related to asbestos litigation and trials. He currently serves as plaintiffs’ liaison counsel for the New York City Asbestos Litigation, which governs all asbestos cases filed in New York City. As liaison, Jordan has participated in the drafting of NYCAL’s Case Management Order and in the selection of the Special Master for the asbestos litigation in New York City. Jordan has managed Belluck & Fox’s New York City asbestos cases for the past 22 years.
Prior to founding Belluck & Fox, Jordan’s verdicts and accomplishments include:
- Working for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund on the housing and education discrimination case against the City of Yonkers in Federal Court.
- Serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, and Senior Trial Attorney in the Homicide and Sex Crimes Bureaus, where he tried 30 jury trials and 5 bench trials to verdict, including several high-profile cases.
- Developing liability evidence against the manufacturers of asbestos products, the sellers of asbestos fiber and the distributors of these materials over a 34-year period. These efforts resulted in many verdicts, including punitive damages, and sanctions against the defendant corporations.
- Representing the Cities of New York, Baltimore and Boston in property damage claims against the manufacturers of asbestos products. This resulted in several jury verdicts that included punitive damages awards against these manufacturers.
- Successfully prosecuting appeal of broadening discovery in toxic torts cases in New York State.
- Serving on the Criminal Justice Advisory Council to the Mayor of New York City.
Jordan Fox is a graduate of Hewlett High School, University of Maryland and Hofstra Law School. He elected to serve as the president of the student government in each of those schools. He is also the proud father of two women, Melanie, a psychologist, and Haley, a social worker, who live and work in Brooklyn.
