The Sisters of Charity founded the first hospital in Buffalo, New York, in 1848. Originally, the Sisters of Charity Hospital was located on St. Louis Place but moved to the corner of Main Street and Delavan Avenue in 1876. In 1948, the hospital moved to the location where it currently sits today at the corner of Main and Humboldt Streets. The Sisters of Charity Hospital has undergone many renovations.
