Three Belluck & Fox Attorneys Listed Among Best Lawyers in America
NEW YORK, NY, August 15, 2016 — Three highly skilled lawyers from the New York law firm Belluck & Fox, LLP have once again been recognized among the nation’s most outstanding attorneys, as ranked by their legal peers in the 23rd edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
Belluck & Fox, LLP founding partners Joseph Belluck and Jordan Fox, as well as associate attorney James C. Long Jr., have all been included in the Best Lawyers publication for 2017, which is based on peer-review surveys and considered a significant honor in the legal profession. All three attorneys were recognized in the category of “Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions – Plaintiffs” for the state of New York.
Partner Joseph Belluck has been listed on Best Lawyers since 2009. Joe focuses his practice on mesothelioma and asbestos cases at Belluck & Fox, LLP. He is a trustee of the State University of New York and chairs on the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct.
Partner Jordan Fox has been listed on Best Lawyers since 2006. In 2013, he was named Plaintiff’s Lawyer of the Year, New York City Mass Tort Litigation, by Best Lawyers . Jordan represents victims of mesothelioma and other environmental hazards as well as crime victims. He previously served as a prosecutor for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.
Attorney Jim Long has been listed on Best Lawyers since 2009. For the 2017 edition, he has also been named Plaintiff’s Lawyer of the Year for New York City Mass Tort Litigation. Jim is well-respected for his extensive work on complex asbestos claims at Belluck & Fox, LLP. He has presented asbestos cases before courts in six states with much success, including a 2016 plaintiff verdict of $22 million.
